Job Description: The School District of Baraboo has an opening for WSI Certified for our Indoor Pool. The Candidate needs to possess the ability to identify essential principles, components, and strategies for effectively planning, preparing, and delivering safe swimming lessons. Hours are flexible and available before school, during school, or after school. The pool operating hours are 6 am - 8 pm Monday through Friday. Weekend hours may also be available.

Qualifications: This position requires:
Current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certificate.
Current Red Cross certification in First Aid, CPR/AED.
Must be able to teach to a wide range of ages/abilities. (infants, children, teenagers, adults, special needs)
Must be able to identify key elements and strategies for planning and preparing effective and safe swimming lessons.
Demonstrate the ability to accommodate participants who move, learn, communicate, and behave differently.
Able to modify teaching to meet unexpected challenges.

District Description: The School District of Baraboo is an EC-12 grade district with a 4K program, five elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school with a total student population of 2,700 students. The District employs approximately 255 certified teachers and 295 non-certified staff. Baraboo is located in Sauk County and is among the most scenic areas in the state!
