Knowledge of federal and state laws, State Board of Education rules, and School board policies
applicable to assigned responsibilities. Knowledge of child development, mental health issues,
and family dynamics. Knowledge of available services and how to access them. Proficiency in
delivering evidence-based mental health interventions. Ability to communicate effectively orally
and in writing. Ability to use technology to support assigned duties. Ability to work
cooperatively with others. Ability to interview, assess and evaluate. Ability to organize and
manage time. Ability to use student database.
Job Summary :
To evaluate and monitor the social and emotional learning and mental health needs of
targeted students and families, and to coordinate and provide direct and indirect
services to optimize academic performance.
Qualifications :
1. Licensed mental health counselor, licensed clinical social worker, licensed psychologist,
or other clinician licensed or certified by the Florida Department of Health or Florida
Department of Education. Individuals in current pursuit of licensure from the State are
also invited to apply.
2. Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited educational institution.
3. Valid Florida driver's license and / or have access to transportation.
4. Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening.

Salary Information : Professional Technical. Grade C / D (Grade C when Licenced). One hundred ninety-six days contract (10 month),
FLSA Exempt. two hundred twenty days contract (11 month)
OR two hundred fifty days contract (12 month).
