Description
The School District of La Crosse is accepting applications for a 1.0 FTE LaCrossroads Program Teacher at Central High School beginning in the 2025-2026 school year. Projected start date: August 12, 2025
Wisconsin certification in one or more of the following areas is preferred: English, Math, Science, or Social Studies. Additional certification 1952 is required. Candidates who do not currently hold a 1952 license may still be given consideration if they are eligible to obtain the license or a license with stipulations prior to the start of the school year.

- Creating and supporting individual educational programs for students at risk of not graduating from high school.
- Consultation with peers, parents, and community agency staff.
- Life planning for students and families and transitioning students to post-secondary options.
- Laws, rules, regulations, and reports pertinent to serving this population of students.
- Instructing students in a classroom setting.
- Educating students about the program and working with the main office and student services personnel to identify prospective students.
- Meeting with families and students regarding entry and exit from the program Coteaching, Coserving and Coplanning with teachers regarding academic courses.
- Working with the other LaCrossroads coordinator to align curriculum, pathways, and other program requirements.
- Close communication with parents/guardians regarding attendance, progress, behavior, etc.
- Auditing graduation requirements for progress towards diploma
- Conflict resolution skills required.
- Develop and maintain community partnerships to promote success with the students and program.
