JOB FUNCTION: To provide administrative assistance to the principal, create and maintain student records and coordinate the daily student attendance records in accordance with district and state reporting requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of student records including but not limited to new students, student withdrawals/transfers and registration.
- Oversee daily attendance recording and reporting.
- Responsible for the upkeep of student cumulative files.
- Responsible for the creation, maintenance and student withdrawal processes.
- Answer telephone as needed.
- Maintain the school events schedule/calendar to make sure events, activities and meetings do not conflict with one another.
- Assist with greeting and directing visitors to proper personnel that arrive at the administration office as needed.
- File correspondences and records.
- Be responsible for mailing various packages, letters and distribute mail to staff.
- Review EduClimber reports and send out correspondence in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties and assignments as requested.
REPORTS TO: Principal
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma.
- Knowledge of student information systems (Skyward preferred), Microsoft Office, and Google.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Establish and maintain effective working relations with all district employees as well as the general public.
- Professional, pleasant and cordial demeanor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This work regularly requires sitting, standing, walking, speaking, hearing and occasionally requires pushing, pulling, lifting, and operating machines; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, and observing general surroundings and activities; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. school offices/classrooms/passageways).
