Job description
The School District of Oakfield is seeking full-time second shift custodian for our MS/HS building. The hours are 1:30pm to 10pm. Our philosophy is our roots run deep and our branches stretch far. We are a high performing rural school district with strong community support. Students and staff enjoy small class sizes for maximum educational opportunity. Our building recently underwent a major renovation and is a like new facility. This position is a full time 40 hour per week, Monday through Friday position.
Candidates should be able to:
- Keep building clean and in orderly condition-vacuum, sweep, mop, dust and scrub corridors, classrooms and restrooms according to approved practices along with removal of litter and waste from rooms daily
- Work regularly requires standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling and occasionally requires some ladder work
- Event set up and take down
- Perform heavy lifting at times
- Snow Removal
- Summer painting and touch-up
- Help operate fire alarm system
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Displays emotional stability, maturity, and the ability to work and communicate effectively and cooperatively with staff, students, student workers, parents and public
- Be flexible and open to new ideas as well as express own ideas
- Have a progressive, proactive approach to working
- Previous work history indicates a good attendance record, dependability, confidentiality, reliability and a professional attitude
