Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys cleaning and doing floor maintenance in a school facility in the Whites Creek area (North of Nashville, near the interception of Briley Pkwy and I-24 toward Clarksville).

Responsibilities :

perform routine cleaning tasks that include, but are not limited to sweeping, dusting, wet & dry mopping, cleaning restrooms, Gym, classrooms, hallways, offices, general areas, and the cafeteria, emptying trash, picking up debris from grounds, windows, and doors cleaning, etc.
event setup / cleanup (moving furniture and setup assemblies)
floor / carpet maintenance work is expected during school breaks throughout the year.

Working Hours :

30 hours per week; Mondays through Fridays

from 4 : 00 pm - 10 : 00 pm

opportunity to work more hours.

Compensation

16.45 per hour plus some benefits

Some Perks and benefits :

PTO (paid time off) : 1 week proportionally per year accrual

Semestrial (every 6 months) Custodian Incentives bonus (opportunity to earn up to an extra $0.50 / per hour incentives)

Insurance Benefits require you to work 30 hours per week minimum after 60 days of employment.

Qualifications

Commercial Cleaning Experience

Must be 18 years of age or older

All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States (E-verify checks)

Must have reliable transportation

Able to work in a smoke-free environment

able to use a smartphone to clock in / out on an online-based timesheets

Living within 15 miles from the school location (Whites Creek area)

Job Requirements

Pass the Background check required to work in public schools (because this job will be performed in an MNPS Charter School, will require a background check clearance from the Metro Public Schools office)

Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs : such as walking, bending, stretching, lifting (up to 50 pounds), pulling, and pushing

Responsible and customer service-oriented

Ability to work as a part of a team
