- Plan, deliver, and assess a comprehensive art curriculum aligned with Waldorf education principles and Credo's sustainability mission.
- Foster an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that nurtures students’ artistic development, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Support students' holistic growth, balancing artistic, academic, emotional, and social development.
- Collaborate with faculty, parents, and community members to enrich student learning and community involvement.
- Develop and execute robust lesson plans, clearly communicating objectives and outcomes to students.
- Evaluate student performance consistently, providing constructive feedback and adapting instruction accordingly.
- Actively participate in school-wide sustainability initiatives and project-based learning experiences.
- Maintain accurate student records and adhere to school and district policies.
- Valid California Teaching Credential or willingness and eligibility to obtain an appropriate credential.
- Waldorf training and experience are highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of effective art instruction methods, curriculum development, and classroom management.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively engage diverse learners through differentiated instruction.
- Capacity to actively perform classroom duties, including standing, movement, and participation in student projects.
- Sufficient visual and auditory skills for teaching and supervising students.
- Manual dexterity for using art materials, tools, and instructional technology.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Appropriate California Teaching Credential preferred or eligibility and willingness to obtain one.
- Salary range: $55,000 - $100,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience.
