Middle School Art Teacher

Job Summary: Technology Middle School seeks a creative and passionate Art Teacher dedicated to fostering innovative thinking and artistic expression in a 21st-century learning environment. Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate a dynamic art instructional program aligned with school and district standards.
• Facilitate a supportive classroom atmosphere promoting creativity, collaboration, and student engagement.
• Utilize varied instructional strategies and resources to meet diverse student learning needs.
• Design lessons that integrate critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaborative project work.
• Consistently assess student progress and adapt instruction accordingly.
• Maintain accurate and thorough records of student performance.
• Communicate regularly with parents, staff, and community members about student achievements and needs.
• Participate actively in professional development opportunities and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
• Adhere to school and district policies and contribute positively to the school community.
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid California Teaching Credential authorizing instruction in Art at the middle school level (preliminary or cleared credential preferred).
• Demonstrated expertise in teaching methodologies, classroom management, and student assessment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience or interest in project-based learning and integrating real-world applications.
• Bilingual candidates preferred.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to actively engage in teaching duties requiring standing, movement, and interaction with students.
• Adequate visual and auditory capabilities for instructional activities and supervision.
• Manual dexterity for managing art materials and instructional technology.
  
  

Education & Certification Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; official transcripts required upon hiring.
• Valid California Teaching Credential in Art (preliminary or cleared credential preferred).
  
  

Salary & Benefits

• Annual Salary: $57,586 - $101,037 (depending on credential status and experience).
• Non-fully credentialed candidates: $53,271 - $101,037.
• Employment contingent on health clearances, background, and reference checks.
