Job Summary
The primary role of the full-time Instructor – Economics as part of the teaching faculty, is to promote student success in a professional and ethical manner. Responsible for instructing and facilitating student learning; committed to student recruitment and retention; assessment of learning, development of curriculum, and the use of both classroom and distance learning instruction. This position is part of the teaching faculty and reports to the designated administrator.

Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Economics or Business with Economics Concentration with at least 12 graduate hours in Macroeconomics and Microeconomics.
- Two (2) years of Community College teaching experience.
- Experience teaching and designing courses in a variety of modalities (e.g. traditional, online, hybrid).
- Cultural competence in teaching, teamwork, and/or leadership ability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in department leadership.
- Knowledge of regional transfer institutions.
- Experience developing Distance Learning courses within a Quality Matters framework.
- Knowledge of the needs and abilities of Community College students, including returning adults, students from diverse backgrounds, and dual-credit/early-college students.
- Commitment to continuous professional improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team dedicated to excellence in teaching and learning.

Work Hours
Variable; minimum 14-16 credit hours per week in Fall and Winter; minimum 5 office hours per week in Fall and Winter; plus additional work responsibilities
