Job Summary
The Social Media Coordinator plays a key role in enhancing Schoolcraft College’s online presence and engaging the College’s community. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this position is responsible for creating, executing, and analyzing effective social media content and advertising campaigns across official Schoolcraft platforms. The role involves collaborating with departments across campus to support strategic goals, promote events, and increase visibility. Some nights and weekends may be required.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in working with social media, preferably in higher education.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in social media platforms, advertising tools, and content management systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and managing Google Ads, including analyzing performance metrics.
  • Ability to multi-task and complete work in a fast paced, results-driven environment with changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Canva and experience designing digital content.
  • Experience with Sprout Social or similar tools for social media management and analytics.
  • Experience in photography, particularly for digital media

  • Office Environment: This role may involve being in a stationary position in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse (or applicable equipment) and telephone. This role may also involve standing and walking for periods of time, and the use of hands and moving objects of up to 10 lbs., and on occasion, up to 25 lbs.
  • Noise Level: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Salary
Pay Range is $21.13-$33.02
