Position Details
Specialty: 1:1 Behavioral Instructional Assistant
Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
- Previous experience working with children, particularly those with behavioral or special needs.
- Knowledge of behavioral intervention techniques (CPI training is a plus).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, 1:1 support to a student with behavioral and learning needs.
- Implement behavioral intervention strategies based on individualized education programs (IEPs) or behavior support plans (BSPs).
- Assist the student with academic tasks, social interactions, and classroom routines.
- Reinforce positive behaviors and redirect challenging behaviors using evidence-based techniques.
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and specialists to ensure consistent support for the student.
- Document student progress and behavioral observations.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
