Position Overview:
As the Clinical Supervisor at Schoolhouse Orthodontics, you will play a pivotal role in managing and supporting the clinical team while ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. This position requires strong orthodontic knowledge, a commitment to maintaining high standards of care, and a sense of responsibility to lead by example.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and guide clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to practice protocols.
- Train new team members and provide ongoing mentorship to clinical staff.
- Collaborate with the orthodontist and team to implement treatment plans and ensure a positive patient experience.
- Monitor daily clinical operations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure efficiency.
- Assist with ordering and maintaining clinical supplies to ensure the clinic is well-prepared and organized.
- Support infection control and safety compliance in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Provide hands-on assistance during orthodontic procedures, including patient exams, diagnostics, and fittings, as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented environment.
- Stay informed on new orthodontic techniques and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Must be responsible, organized, and a team leader.
- Certified Orthodontic Assistant (COA) required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Certified Orthodontic Assistant (COA).
- 3 years of experience in an orthodontic or dental clinical setting.
- 2 years of previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of orthodontic procedures, equipment, and best practices.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage clinical operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards.
- Positive, professional demeanor with a passion for patient care and teamwork.
