Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in Illinois. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide high-quality therapy services to clients of all ages. You’ll play a key role in implementing treatment plans, monitoring progress, and helping clients achieve their developmental and functional goals.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering therapy sessions as outlined in the client’s individualized treatment plan.
- Work collaboratively with the supervising OT to evaluate and adjust therapy goals as needed.
- Document client progress accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide hands-on support to help clients with functional, motor, and sensory challenges.
- Educate clients, families, and caregivers on techniques to promote skill development and independence.
- Maintain a positive and therapeutic environment during therapy sessions.
Qualifications:
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Illinois.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- CPR certification (preferred).
- Experience with pediatric or school-based therapy (preferred, but not required).
