Schrödinger seeks an Applications Scientist to join us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life through the development, distribution, and application of advanced computational methods!
Schrödinger is on the cutting edge of computer-aided drug discovery and materials science. Our software suites continue to transform the design of therapeutics and materials - FEP , WaterMap, Glide, BioLuminate, and LiveDesign are just a few examples of the applications we’ve created.
As a member of our Applications Science team, you’ll train and guide customers in their use of our groundbreaking molecular modelling suites, provide strategic scientific support, and address challenging problems in drug discovery.

Who Will Love This Job
- A computer-aided molecular design enthusiast (both in theory and application) - specifically, someone who understands the design and analysis of novel biologic drugs, such as antibodies, peptides, enzymes, and oligonucleotides

- Provide scientific support to current and prospective customers, which includes demonstration of optimal use of our life science software suites, facilitation of interactions between customers and product development teams, and general scientific guidance
- Work with biologics customers to translate their scientific vision into robust modelling and data analysis workflows
- Troubleshoot customers’ scientific workflows, administration, and adaptation of their modelling environment
- Engage in cutting-edge methodological scientific research and advise our customers on best practices for computational modelling
- Publish scientific papers and present at conferences
- PhD in computational chemistry, bioinformatics, structural biology, biophysics or a related field
- A deep knowledge of at least two biologics modalities, such as antibodies, peptides, enzymes, and oligonucleotides
- Demonstrable Python programming experience with bioinformatics and biologics data structures, databases, and administration of software or applications
- Excellent English language skills (both verbal and written)
- Willingness to travel
- One of the following is a plus:
- Expertise in the application of machine learning methods for biologics design
- Hands-on experience with computational methods and/or experimental techniques in biologics discovery
- Experience with small molecule drug discovery and related computational chemistry methods
