Schreiner is a leader in the production of functional and hi-tech labels, primarily supporting the pharmaceutical, automotive, and home goods industries with 1,800 employees across three global locations.
The IT Service Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support, maintaining IT infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth operation of our technology systems. This role requires expertise in Microsoft 365 (M365) and collaboration with our IT department in Germany. Additionally, the candidate will manage external service providers, internet and phone services, VMware, switches, and Wi-Fi.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide first-line support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware, printer and software issues on both Windows and Linux systems, and resolving technical problems promptly
- M365 Administration and Implementation: Manage, support, and implement Microsoft 365 applications, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.
- ERP Systems Management: Oversee the implementation, maintenance, validation and support of ERP systems to streamline business processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the IT department in Germany to ensure global alignment, share best practices, and support cross-functional projects. Travel to Germany for training or strategic planning as necessary.
- Copilot AI Integration: Implement and support AI-driven solutions, including Microsoft Copilot, to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Manage and utilize ticketing system for tracking and resolving IT issues and change requests.
- External Service Providers: Manage relationships with external service providers, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Internet and Phone Providers: Oversee the management of internet and phone services to ensure reliable and efficient communication.
- VMware Management: Administer and maintain VMware environments to ensure optimal performance and resource utilization.
- Switches and Wi-Fi: Manage and support switch and Wi-Fi infrastructure to ensure robust and secure network connectivity.
- Security Management: Implement and maintain security protocols to protect IT systems and data from threats.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
- User Training: Provide training and support to end-users on IT systems, M365 applications, and other relevant technologies.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and best practices, continuously seeking ways to improve IT services and support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT support or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and hardware.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration and implementation.
- Experience with SAP systems and implementation is a plus.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and their management.
- Familiarity with AI-driven solutions, such as Microsoft Copilot.
- Experience with CRM and Jira ticketing system.
- Strong understanding of VMware, and Wi-Fi management.
- Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) is a plus.
- Experience working in a global environment and collaborating with international teams is a plus.
- Proficiency in German is a plus.
