JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide warm, engaging, and professional service in all outlets, including indoor bars, outdoor venues, and banquet events.
- Greet guests, take drink and food orders, and answer menu-related questions.
- Make personalized beverage recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Ensure all guests feel welcomed and attended to, maintaining a high level of service.
- Handle guest concerns with professionalism, ensuring satisfaction and escalating issues when necessary.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to hotel recipes and presentation standards.
- Work efficiently in multiple service environments, including bar, restaurant, poolside, banquets, and special events.
- Assist in running food and serving tables when needed to ensure seamless service.
- Ensure proper portioning, pouring, and garnishing of cocktails.
- Serve drinks and food efficiently while managing multiple orders at a time.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including bar top, back bar, and storage spaces.
- Keep service areas, including bar stations and side stations, organized and fully stocked.
- Ensure all bar tools, glassware, and equipment are cleaned and maintained.
- Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and supplies in all service outlets before and during shifts.
- Assist in completing End-of-Month (EOM) inventory counts and ensuring accuracy.
- Communicate inventory shortages or special requests to management.
- Accurately process payments, credit cards, and room charges.
- Follow all hotel policies regarding end-of-shift reconciliation.
- Verify guest IDs when serving alcohol to ensure compliance with age requirements.
- Work closely with servers, food runners, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding guest needs and special requests.
- Support fellow bartenders, servers, and banquet staff during busy shifts.
- Assist with setup and breakdown of banquet bars and special event stations.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and service improvement discussions.
- Follow all alcohol service laws and responsible beverage service protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all state and local liquor laws.
- Immediately report any safety hazards or incidents to management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of High School education
- Minimum of three (3) years in a bartending role
- Certification in bartending preferred
- Alcohol awareness certification preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Thorough knowledge of alcohol serving practices and standards
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally
- Ability to exceed expectations of guests
