Our client is an innovative agribusiness leader and we are looking for a Logistics Center Director to provide leadership at their multigeneration family farm which has transformed into an agribusiness located in Reynolds, IN.
Responsibilities-
- Directly manage logistics personnel and oversee all workflows supporting a 24x7 logistics operation.
- Collaborate with other Operational Leaders to provide and promote a safety first culture.
- Performance evaluation, employee development, discipline and termination of employees as needed.
- Gathers needed information on and understanding of company demands; meets specific needs for business functions on a timely and accurate basis
- Identifies problems and inefficiencies in logistics processes; presents and implements enhancements and solutions to address these issues.
- Maintains current knowledge of logistics and technology developments and trends; recommends and implements improvements based on this knowledge to provide more efficient service.
- Oversees compliance with traffic & safety regulations and provide proactive solutions to ensure safety for drivers
- Maintain fleet’s & regulatory functions to ensure proper road readiness
Experience & Education-
- Excellent leadership and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient with computer-based management systems for logistic management tools that drive high degree of organization & efficiency
- Bi-lingual not required but beneficial (English & Spanish)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Five years of experience in logistics management or transportation industry required.
