As a Pre-Roll Associate, you will play a key role in our cannabis manufacturing facility, specializing in the production of pre-rolls while ensuring quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, rolling, and packaging of pre-rolls, as well as maintaining product integrity and accurate inventory management. Your attention to detail and dedication to following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) will be vital in supporting the team’s ability to meet production goals and regulatory requirements. Essential Functions
Pre-Roll Production (60%)
- Operate pre-roll production equipment to accurately prepare and roll cannabis products.
- Measure and pack pre-rolls to ensure proper weight and product consistency.
- Maintain high production standards, ensuring pre-rolls are produced in accordance with product specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain detailed records of production, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Collaborate with the production team to monitor and adjust the production process as needed to meet demand and quality standards.
- Perform regular visual inspections to ensure that all pre-rolls meet product consistency, quality standards, and accurate labeling.
- Assist with inventory control, tracking raw materials used for production, and finished goods inventory for pre-roll products.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization within the pre-roll production area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory, labeling, or production issues to ensure that quality standards are consistently met.
- Operate and maintain pre-roll production equipment, including rolling machines and packing stations, ensuring proper functionality.
- Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas regularly to adhere to safety and hygiene standards.
- Proactively identify any equipment issues and work with the team to troubleshoot and resolve them to ensure smooth production flow.
- Support the overall maintenance and organization of the pre-roll production area to maximize efficiency.
- Assist with post-harvest operations, including product quality assessments and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product launches, promotions, and customer demands related to pre-roll production.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
- Packaging and inventory experience.
- Experience in a regulated cannabis industry.
- Additional relevant certifications or training.
- Experience operating Hefestus pre-roll automation system.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Close visual acuity required for reading fine print on product labels and equipment screens.
- Overtime may be necessary based on business needs including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge in the state of Colorado.
