Job Description :
Assist senior paralegals, attorneys, and law clerks with day-to-day tasks. Tasks include but are not limited to scheduling conferences, depositions, and mediations with clients, opposing counsel / parties and any other entities associated with the cases; preparing and sending correspondence to opposing counsel / parties; issuing / responding to discovery, preparing subpoenas, preparing PDD / FDD’s, be familiar with trial readiness and trial preparation; be familiar with communicating the courts and messengers; compilation of filings, assist attorneys with case management, and help maintain organization of cases and attorney calendars.
Responsibilities :

- Conduct legal research
- Uphold ethical standards necessary for the legal profession
- Work comfortably both independently and integral member of a legal team
- Excellent punctuality and attendance
- Work in a fast-paced environment
- Investigate and gather the facts of a case
- Organize and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems
- Gather and arrange evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation
- Write or summarize reports to help lawyers prepare for trials
- Draft correspondence and legal documents, such as Declarations and Motions to be Relieved as Counsel
- Get affidavits and other formal statements that may be used as evidence in court
- File exhibits, briefs, appeals and other legal documents with the court or serve on opposing counsel or opposing party
- Call clients, witnesses, lawyers, and outside vendors to schedule conferences, meetings, depositions, and settlement conferences
Qualifications and Skills :
Education and experience requirements :
Paralegal certificate required
Minimum 2 years of experience
