Job Details
Science of Sport is seeking out Teachers, Coaches, and those looking to get into teaching instructors for its Science of Sport STEM Summer Program taking place one day per week from May 27th to July 23rd (8 weeks). This STEM Program will be for elementary and middle school students at the Jewish Community Center in Tucson, AZ. Applicants must reside in and around the Tucson area and have a reliable mode of transportation. This is an in-person summer program that combines STEM with sports. This is an exciting paid opportunity for a dynamic teacher, instructor, coach or educational advocate to learn Science of Sports curriculum and teach local students. Instructors will teach part-time, one day per week. Instructors will oversee a group of students (K-8th grade).

Daily Responsibilities
- Instructing Science of Sport curriculum to elementary and middle school students after school
- Facilitating enrichment activities outside of the classroom for a unique
- Collaborating with Science of Sport staff on daily logistics associated with the after school programs (e.g. attendance, worksheets, equipment, etc.)
- Keeping student performance notes and documentation
- Cleaning and organizing program areas, set-up and breakdown of equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- Coaching or teaching interest (K-8 grades)
- Exceptional communication skills
- Experience working with elementary and middle school students
- Ability to perform physical activities for 2-3 hours at a time including, but not limited to walking, jumping, standing, lifting, throwing and stretching
- Ability to follow a curriculum and work with science of Sport's program partners to achieve programming goals
- Ability to be on your feet in an active environment for 3 hours per day
