THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL
Sciens Building Solutions seeks an Accounts Payable Representative to join its fun and rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience and be comfortable with the below responsibilities.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well!)
- Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices in the ERP system.
- Select invoices to be paid by running accounts payable aging reports; prioritize payments.
- Prepare checks for payment, attach the prepared check to the corresponding invoice/bill and back-up documentation for signature.
- Keep track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
- Maintain historical records.
- Reconcile banking and credit card transactions with statements monthly.
- Prepare analysis of accounts and produce monthly report.
- Provide financial, administrative, and clerical support for company.
- Manage and organize emails and company files efficiently.
- Complete special department projects as directed.
- Adhere to all company policies and protocols.
- Assist in month end close; other special projects as needed.
WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU
- Up to two (2) years of accounts payable experience.
- Teamwork-oriented.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to follow through independently.
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to make routine judgments and decisions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with accounting and Microsoft Office (Excel).
- Associate’s degree; Bachelor's degree a plus.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and relevant accounting experience preferred.
