Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a  Development Manager  on behalf of our client, a well-known nonprofit organization championing animal welfare across the Tennessee Valley. This is a direct-hire, hybrid position based in Knoxville, TN.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies, including major gifts, annual giving, capital campaigns, and online fundraising efforts.
• Cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
• Lead and coordinate special fundraising events, including galas, auctions, and community-based initiatives.
• Partner with the Executive Director to set and achieve fundraising goals.
• Identify grant opportunities and assist in writing proposals to secure funding.
• Track and manage grant compliance, reporting, and renewal opportunities.
• Oversee donor stewardship activities, ensuring ongoing engagement and long-term support.
• Manage direct mail and email campaigns, including newsletters, appeals, and donor communications.
• Ensure accurate donor records, reporting, and data analysis using donor management software.
• Develop sponsorships, in-kind donations, and corporate volunteer opportunities.
• Represent the organization at networking events and media engagements to raise awareness and attract supporters.
• Collaborate on budget planning and fundraising financial management.
• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical fundraising regulations.

This position offers an annual salary of $75,000!
