The Donor Engagement Manager is responsible for cultivating and managing donor relationships through a portfolio-driven approach, focusing on engagement, stewardship, and solicitation of current and prospective supporters. This role plays a key part in advancing the organization's fundraising efforts by developing and executing strategies for donor cultivation, portfolio management, and personalized stewardship.

This role plays a key part in advancing the organization's fundraising efforts by developing and executing strategies for donor cultivation, portfolio management, and personalized stewardship.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and execute donor engagement events to support key fundraising initiatives and campaigns.
- Track and analyze donor trends, capacity, and giving behaviors to identify growth opportunities for leadership giving.
- Oversee donor recognition programs, ensuring timely outreach for acknowledgments, renewals, and upgrades.
- Collaborate with marketing and technology teams to create automated workflows that enhance donor interactions and follow-ups.
- Assist in developing fundraising materials, including proposals, presentations, and collateral for donor outreach.
- Support volunteer fundraising groups and provide administrative coordination for capital campaign committees.
- Organize planned giving seminars in partnership with estate planning professionals to educate and engage donors.
- Manage planned gift inquiries, maintain accurate records, ensure timely follow-ups, and oversee donor stewardship through key partnerships.
- Provide support in grant writing and management as needed.
- Maintain and update leadership-giving policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelorâs degree required, with prior experience supporting fundraising and donor engagement activities.
- Strong emotional intelligence and resilience to navigate the dynamic environment of an animal care facility.
- Proactive and detail-oriented professional with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated success in developing and growing a major gifts program, with a proven track record of donor relationships.
- Experience managing donor portfolios and executing successful fundraising strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience working with donor databases/CRM systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Collaborative team player who works effectively with leadership and the development team to implement strategic fundraising initiatives.
- Ability to travel as needed for donor meetings, events, and engagement opportunities.
