Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on employee relations issues, interpreting and administering collective bargaining agreements, state and federal laws, and internal policies.
- Conduct investigations, recommend appropriate disciplinary actions, and represent the organization in hearings.
- Perform classification and compensation analysis, conduct job evaluations, and provide recommendations on organizational structure and staffing needs.
- Develop and maintain accurate position descriptions, conduct desk audits, and ensure compliance with Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
- Conduct salary surveys and pay equity assessments.
- Collaborate with managers to implement HR policies and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to management and staff on HR policies and best practices.
- Contribute to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, preferably in employee relations, classification and compensation, and policy administration.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Experience in conducting investigations and representing organizations in hearings.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., Workday) and Microsoft Office Suite.
