Description:The registered nurse assumes primary responsibility for the total care of assigned clients. They are accountable for assessing, reassessing, establishing nursing diagnoses, formulating a plan of care, implementing care, and evaluating care.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess, diagnose, plan, and implement individualized patient care
- Provide education and training to patients and families
- Lead and direct other team members to maintain optimal standards of nursing care
- Supervise licensed and non-licensed nursing personnel
- Work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, to ensure continuity of care
- Associate's degree required
- Ability to function in stressful situations
- Verbal ability to present information and ideas related to nursing theory and practice
- Leadership qualities, with the ability to accept responsibility and accountability
- Cognitive and practical ability to provide nursing care appropriate to the patient population
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
