Description
The Registered Nurse assumes principal responsibility for total care of assigned clients in the respective unit. This nurse is responsible for assessment, reassessment, establishment of nursing diagnoses, formulation of the written plan of care, implementation of care, and evaluation of care.
The nurse initiates healthcare training and education to the client/family as required, supporting and fostering the goals of ScionHealth and the Department of Nursing.
The Registered Nurse demonstrates awareness of ongoing unit needs and provides leadership and direction to other team members in maintaining optimal standards of nursing care.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to patients, including assessment, care planning, and evaluation
- Supervise nursing staff to ensure high standards of care
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare topics
- Initiate healthcare training and education to clients/families
- Provide leadership and direction to team members
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Nursing or higher
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama
- BLS Certification within 30 days of hire date
- ACLS Certification within 6 months of employment
