The Clinical Nurse Supervisor Night plays a key role in ensuring that hospital staff provides high-quality patient care while adhering to healthcare regulations. This position involves managing nursing personnel, participating in program development, and ensuring effective integration of nursing services with hospital departments.
KEY FUNCTIONS:- Ensure hospital staff delivers quality patient care and adheres to policies and mandated regulations.
- Provide professional guidance to nursing personnel, handle disciplinary issues, prepare administrative reports, review staffing and budgetary needs, and integrate Nursing Services functions with other hospital departments.
- Develop and implement programs for nurse recruitment and continuing education.
The Clinical Nurse Supervisor will also be responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating designated nursing staff; assigning duties and coordinating nursing services. They will participate in developing nursing protocol and procedures, provide continuing education and staff development opportunities for nursing staff, assess patient needs, participate in providing nursing care, and ensure services are carried out and documented appropriately.
REQUIREMENTS:- An appropriate degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Valid Registered Nurse/RN license in the state.
- BCLS and ACLS certification.
- Two years of Registered Nurse/RN nursing experience in a hospital.
- One to two years of supervisory/leadership experience.
