The Hemodialysis Nurse plays a critical role in providing essential care to patients undergoing renal replacement therapy in a specialized hospital setting. They are responsible for assessing, documenting, and implementing dialysis treatment plans while collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and effective monitoring of critical health conditions.

Our specialty hospitals offer critical care similar to that received in a traditional hospital or intensive care unit but for an extended recovery period. Clinicians play a vital role in the recovery process for chronic, critically ill, and medically complex patients.
As a Dialysis Registered Nurse / RN, you will:
- Provide professional nursing care to patients requiring renal replacement therapy under the license of the Hospital.
- Report directly to the Dialysis Program Manager or Dialysis Supervisor for the respective facility.
- Document patient assessments, vital signs, treatment reviews, and observations in patient medical records and bring issues to the attention of the physician and primary nurse.
- Implement and document dialysis orders.
- Analyze patient assessments, laboratory results, and discuss issues with the nephrologist.
- Communicate emergencies, life-threatening complications, and related incidents to supervisor, hospital staff, and the patient's physician.
- Initiate and discontinue prescribed renal replacement therapy, including formulating a plan per physician orders, verifying safety measures, administering medications or treatments, and documenting all activity appropriately.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse / RN license in the state of practice required.
- Current CPR certification through American Heart Association.
- Minimum 1 year dialysis experience in an acute care or chronic setting preferred.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook required.
