Head of Finance and Accounting

SciPro has partnered with a Biotech Company searching for an experienced and dynamic finance professional to support their growth during a pivotal time in their development! This company is developing a first of its kind technology and pioneering research in the immunology space. You will report into C-suite leadership and manage all aspects of finance and accounting while managing a small team.

• You will bring your experience in a previous senior finance role in a commercial company.
• Expertise in managing finances across multiple international offices, overseeing an existing accounting firm.
• Skilled in guiding through audits, self-motivated and adept at working independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative spirit to work with a dispersed team and build financial models for various fund-raising scenarios.
• Responsible for creating finance materials for board meetings and fundraising support.
• Advocates financial discipline and process improvement.
• Reports directly to CEO, closely collaborates with leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Lead annual budgeting and regular forecasting, monitoring and recommending corrective actions.
• Oversee preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, ensuring compliance.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital for financial stability and growth.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and other financial-related laws.
• Oversee audits and proper accounting for sales and revenue.
• Collaborate with the CEO and business team to execute the company's financial strategy.
• Support, motivate, and mentor the finance team.

Requirements:

• 10 years of experience in corporate accounting/auditing experience, knowledge of healthcare industry desirable.
• Strong accounting knowledge, including GAAP and audit experience.
• Analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in financial management software, accounting systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Independent, entrepreneurial mindset with a drive for success.
