Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Project Manager to lead multiple client projects, ensuring timely delivery that meets agreed-upon specifications, deadlines, and budgets. The Project Manager will work closely with internal teams, including operations, laboratory, commercial, and management, and will serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires oversight of bioprocess stages from upstream to downstream, including quality control, with a strong focus on maintaining alignment with project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Plan, organize, and manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that all project goals are achieved within defined timelines and budgets.
- Identify potential risks early and implement mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates, addressing questions, and ensuring transparency.
- Establish and monitor performance indicators, such as yields, input consumption, and process efficiency, to ensure the success of each project.
Team Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, laboratory, commercial) to ensure that project activities are aligned and progressing toward shared objectives.
- Work closely with the commercial team to ensure that project scopes meet client expectations and business objectives.
- Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders and clients, fostering trust and maintaining strong working relationships throughout the project.
Operational Oversight:
- Partner with the Plant Manager to ensure alignment between production schedules and project requirements.
- Monitor real-time laboratory test results and operational data, making adjustments as needed to keep projects on track.
- Supervise key bioprocess stages, including upstream and downstream, to ensure that all client objectives are met.
Resource Management:
- Collaborate with internal management teams to plan and allocate resources (personnel, equipment, and materials) to ensure efficient project execution.
- Optimize resource use to minimize waste and maximize cost-effectiveness.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure that all project deliverables meet established quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements, including GMP.
- Provide thorough oversight of quality control procedures and ensure adherence to all relevant guidelines.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all project stages, including production data, resource usage, and laboratory analyses.
- Utilize digital tools for project tracking to ensure transparency and traceability.
- Deliver comprehensive technical reports to clients, summarizing progress, results, and improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or Master's Degree or PhD in Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Bioprocessing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing industrial projects of varying complexity.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project or similar platforms.

- Experience in bioprocesses, including knowledge of upstream, downstream, and quality control processes.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
