The Forklift Driver I operates powered industrial trucks to load, unload, or transfer product to storage, production, and staging areas
in the plant. This role coordinates and inputs data into the Company inventory system for accuracy.
Estimated starting annual base salary is $20.90 per hour less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a bi-weekly basis. Please note that the actual compensation offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined by the Company, which may include, but is not limited to, location, experience, qualifications, education, skillset, and market conditions. The target base compensation for this role is in the low to middle of the range, with the top of the range reserved for only exceptional circumstances. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary, variable annual incentive, paid based on Company performance factors. Duties and Responsibilities
Check, verify completeness, and process all Warehouse transfers to and from Production.
Load and unload goods based on layout instructions.
Move goods packed on pallets or in crates around the facility.
Stack goods in the correct storage bays following inventory control instructions.
Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records.
Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner; maintain a clean and safe environment.
Perform cycle counts, physical inventory, and baseline cycle count.
Check outbound staged orders and document/report errors.
Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
Perform daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery and lubricating equipment.
Remove machine attachments and waste material from machines.
Stack empty pallets and transport as needed.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
1 year experience operating a forklift and/or completion of a forklift training program.
Knowledge of safe operations of a forklift.
Basic data entry, communication, writing and organization skills.
Basic computer skills such as data entry and using scan guns.
Preferred Qualifications
Forklift certification per OSHA standards.
Knowledge of inventory practices and procedures.
Bilingual in English/Spanish.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires
standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or
move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision,
distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
