What are the responsibilities and job description for the CASAC Counselor position at SCO Family of Services?
SCO Family of Services Outpatient Clinic is currently seeking a compassionate Primary Counselor with CASAC credential to join our team. The position of Clinician/CASAC includes the following duties while working in a therapeutic person-centered nature in developing treatment plans and goals. As a Clinician/CASAC you will:
- Conduct Prescreening, intake interviews and Assessments with prospective clients, including Comprehensive Assessments, Risk Assessments, Admission Utilization Reviews, Treatment updates.
- Complete LOCADTR, have a familiarity with OASAS reporting. * Participate in treatment planning and complex care for clients in collaboration with other agencies.
- Identify treatment goals and objectives are recognized in each week individual therapy sessions and documented in SOAP note format.
- Facilitate Groups, Family therapy sessions, Individual client sessions on a weekly basis.
- Attend in-service training sessions, conferences and/or workshops as required.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings and supervision with Clinical Director.
- Understand the program’s policies, protocol/routines and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidates must possess:
- CASAC Required, LMSW/LMHC preferred.
- Experience working with SUD population, Outpatient setting for SUD preferred.
- A strong belief in others ability to grow and change
