What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional - Up To $27/Hr (Santa Clarita) position at Scoot Education?

What you’ll do:
- Work closely with students, either 1:1 or across entire classrooms
- Build rapport and trust with the children in your care
- Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment
- Support resource teacher(s) in deliver IEP's (individual education plans)
- Follow direction from, and assist lead educators
At Scoot, we support you by:
- Listening to your needs and preferences before matching you with assignments
- Providing you your very own designated Scoot consultant - most of our consultants used to be educators so they can advise based on their experience
- Doing 1:1 check-ins and discussing school feedback with you, positive and constructive
You’ll stand out if you have:
- Experience working in K-12 schools
- Spent time in special education settings
- Any SpEd-specific training
- ABA experience (applied behavior analysis)

Application requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree, or 48 college credits
- Three References with one by a previous direct supervisor
- Background Check (we'll cover the cost of this!)
- TB risk assessment within 90 days
