What are the responsibilities and job description for the ETL and Data Quality Associate position at SCOR?
This position will be an integral part of a team of finance professionals whose purpose is to ensure data is processed completely, accurately and efficiently through the US Life financial close systems. This position will help identify the most efficient way to process data between systems and will work with others on the team to implement well-documented processes built around a strong internal control framework. This work will ensure the completeness and accuracy of the information that ends up in the general ledger. This position will be responsible for reporting on data validation and analysis concerns by analyzing data for root cause issues and querying database tables/structures. This work will require the ability to learn quickly, understand data sources, utilize data mining/analysis/reporting tools and working closely with other departments to identify and resolve root cause issues.
- Implement processes and controls to ensure the quarterly financial projections, relating to seriatim and bulk life reinsurance business, go from model output to the general ledger in accordance with Solvency II, IFRS17, US Statutory, US GAAP, and/or Tax principles
- Ensure optimized, efficient, and constantly improving processes
- Execute data feeds and necessary validation checks across SCOR’s financial systems
- Assist with the annual audit processes with internal and external auditors.
- Create, update and maintain process and control documentation
- Utilize technology to perform job functions more efficiently and to further automate the cashflow production processes. Share technology solutions with other associates.
- Complete special assignments and projects for the department as necessary.
- May perform other duties as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Science or relevant work experience
- 1 years of modeling or data analysis experience
- Experience developing, implementing & controlling financial data and procedures
- Experience with general ledger software, SAP preferred
- Robust analytic and critical thinking skills with strong problem-solving ability
- 1 years of experience working with and making sense of large volumes of data
- Strong understanding of data structures and database concepts
- Data mining/Data Manipulation capabilities – Executing, modifying and creating basic queries
- Experience with data analytic and visualization tools (Alteryx, Tableau, SQL)
- Demonstrated ability to understand complex models, processes, and data to deliver required results.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement departmental processes and controls and ensure appropriately documented.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal, written and relationship building.

Pay Range for roles performed in NC & KS: $62,000-$80,000 base salary per year. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, role and performance. The range listed is just one component of SCOR's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives.
