This is a temporary hourly part-time grant-funded position. Continued employment in this position is contingent upon funding availability. There are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Hourly pay is based on experience.

• Will be scheduled to work 20 hours per week
• Reports to the Health Director
• Hourly rate is based on direct work related experience, education, and qualifications / certifications

This position will serve as the overall Project Facilitator in the Reducing Infant Mortality in Communities (RIMC) grant-funded program and will perform administrative work in planning and implementing evidence-based strategies that are proven to lower infant mortality rates, improve birth outcomes and improve the overall health status of children ages birth to five. Work is reviewed by the Health Director and is evaluated through conferences and reports as to the overall effectiveness of the program.

Examples of Duties

The Project Facilitator will work with the Program Coordinator throughout the project period to :

4) support projects to measure and improve implementation processes.

This position will serve as the primary contact for the implementation coach and ensure that a team of stakeholders (which includes project staff, partners and consumers) will participate in implementation capacity building. This position will also work with the Program Coordinator at a minimum of three to four days per month in the early stages of the project.

Typical Qualifications

Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in health education; or graduation from a four-year college or university and completion of one year of on-the-job training as a public health educator.
