What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Department Associate position at Scotsman's Auto Body, Inc.?
We are excited to announce a job opening in our parts department. Here we strive to meet or exceed our customers’ expectations for quality repairs and an excellent customer experience. Scotsman’s Auto Body is a high volume auto body repair shop that works with all insurance companies and many direct repair programs from the auto manufacturers.
The parts department is a vital part of the repair process. It can dictate the flow of a repair as well as severely impact the overall cost of operations both in and out of the business. Maintaining an organized parts department allows for a proper flow of parts from delivery to the repair technician and back out for any returns as needed. This is a critical role and of the utmost importance!
Some of the Job Responsibilities would include...
Speaking with vendors on a regular basis – phone and/or email
Organization of the parts room
Maintaining a clean work environment for yourself and for others
Receiving parts at time of delivery and verifying part condition
Assisting shop staff in obtaining parts needed for repairs
Efficiently submitting any parts for returns
Invoicing parts into the CCC Estimating Software ( you will be trained )
Answering phone calls and emails
Must be able to identify parts!
Working hours:
Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm
Saturday 8am – 1pm as necessary ( overtime paid after 40 hours )
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
