The Day to Day as a Consumer Loan Direct Processor
The Consumer Loan Direct Processor is responsible for executing SCU’s member engagement model to inform and educate members on consumer lending products and services offered by SCU. The Processor is responsible for final processing, funding, and completion of consumer loans, designated unsecured loans and for centralized lending.
A typical day will look like:
- Provides direct support for both online/mobile, telephone loan applications and centralized lending which includes the processing of all SCU collateralized loans.
- Performs prompt, efficient and accurate processing of member loan requests, including finalizing data, documenting loans, preparing loan documents, booking loans, filing and recording of necessary documents to record liens on vehicle title, if applicable.
- Process lending transactions for members including such functions as processing loan documents, assisting with opening of loan and banking accounts, issuing checks, process title loan title work, if applicable.
- Accountable for individual lending goals for both the online, telephone loan channels and centralized lending.
- Provides members services by contacting members with updates on pending loan applications from time of approval, through loan closing, after funding, and until title has been perfected, if applicable.
- Operates computer to accurately post transactions, access account information. Support online applications, support telephone loan applications, and generally update member account transactions and information.
- Performs such other lending functions as required and assists others to complete tasks and work assignments.
- Responsible for the review of loan supporting documents to ensure accuracy, and completion, of documents before proceeding with the loan closing.
- Consistently provide accurate loan documents to member for signature and completion.
- Responsible for following up on collateralized titles to ensure that SCU lien is placed properly and within specific lending guideline timeframes.

To Be Considered, You’ll Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working within a financial institution.
- Experience with personal computers to include Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications That Could Set You Ahead:
- Consumer lending experience.
- Mobile device experience to include iOS, Android or Windows 10.
