Scott Credit Union is looking to hire a full-time Core Analyst to join our amazing Information Technology-Core team. This position works Monday through Friday, normal business hours.
**Training is to be completed in the first 60-90 days of employment at the East Belleville, IL location.
**Upon successful completion of training, qualifying employees may be eligible for a hybrid/remote schedule.

The Day to Day as the Core Analyst
Provide first and second level support to system users and ensure a wide variety of problems involving CORE systems software applications, file transfers, and interfaces are diagnosed and resolved in a timely and professional manner. A CORE Analyst will also be responsible for utilizing advanced skills and knowledge to research and document the CORE systems file transfers, interfaces and Business processes. This may require analyzing code and application configurations to aid in the troubleshooting process.
Basic Duties:
- Answers all incoming calls and emails, instant messages, and voicemails.
- Create, resolve, escalate, and close support tickets using the Help Desk management system.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to technical difficulties with software, configurations, and file transfers.
- Document issues, troubleshooting steps and resolution in the Help Desk ticketing system to keep teammates and users informed of issue status.
- Maintain ongoing organization and cleanliness in assigned IT technician areas.
- Create and update knowledge (solutions) base articles on issues or equipment installs/resolutions.
- This position is primarily remote but may require occasional travel for team meetings.
Core Duties:
- Level 2 ticket escalation point of contact.
- The CORE Analyst will be interacting with all levels of Scott Credit Union employees as well as Third-Party vendors.
- Research solutions to newly discovered issues and provide resolutions. Escalate to appropriate next tier and/or vendors if necessary.
- Provide technical support and training to assist all departments with technology equipment and applications, both remotely and in person.
- Provide and participate in knowledge transfer sessions to help grow the CORE team’s knowledge of supported applications and Business processes.
- Diagnose and resolve system problems reported to Help Desk.
- Coordinate resolution with necessary vendors.
- Analyse and troubleshoot software and services to ensure high availability. Collaborate with users and vendors to achieve the same.
- Ensure that all calls, emails and verbal requests are properly documented in the Help Desk system.
- Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity planning & testing.
- Stay current with technologies and applications used by our users
- Participate in IT on-call program/rotation.
- Assist the on-call team member and/or the IT team members with emergencies that occur during non-business hours.
- Assist with technology vendor management and due diligence activities.
- Assist with maintaining and evaluating helpdesk procedures.
- Ability to manage time and prioritization of tasks effectively to ensure that the Credit Union is functioning in the most efficient manner.

- The CORE Applications, file transfers, and interfaces include but are not limited to: Symitar, Synergy, eSign, OpCon, and Synapsys.

To Be Considered, You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology related field plus one (1) year of experience as an Analyst, in an IT role with the same or similar job responsibilities, or direct experience working in a Credit Union/Bank. Or
- Associate Degree (or equivalent classwork) in Information Technology related field plus two (2) years of experience as an Analyst, in an IT role with the same or similar job responsibilities, or direct experience working in a Credit Union/Bank. Or
- Four (4) years of experience as an Analyst or in an IT role with the same or similar job responsibilities.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with Credit Union applications such as Symitar and PowerOn’s.
