Position Title: MTSS Teacher/Coordinator (Part-Time or Full-Time)
Location: Scott Elementary School
FLSA: Exempt
Reports to: Principal
Start Date: 7/21/2025
Primary Function: Works with school administration in carrying out the academic and Response to Intervention (RTI) program; understands and responds to the challenges presented by today's diverse student population and works cooperatively with the principal, counselor, nurse, staff, students and parents toward a positive school climate.
Requirements:
- Educational Level: Bachelor's Degree; Master's degree preferred
- Certification/License Required: Valid Georgia Teaching Certification [FLD808]
- Experience: 3-5 years successful classroom teaching experience; preferred experience in teaching reading and math
- Physical Activities: Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Written and Oral Communication; instructional strategies that connect the curriculum to the learners; student management
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Works with individual and small groups of students both within and outside of classrooms to assist students to perform at grade level and meet State and District standards.
- Teaches intervention groups for students in need.
- Analyzes data to understand student(s) needs and determine instructional focus during the intervention.
- Collects and anlyzes frequent progress monitoring data in order to determine instructional decisions.
- Attends/facilitates grade-level data and professional learning community meetings.
- Facilitates progress monitoring reviews with building teams or professional learning communities to respond to student data.
- Communicates with parents /teachers regarding the progress of target students.
- Models “best practices” in classrooms.
- Works with principals to support the school’s efforts toward increasing students’ literacy and numeracy skills.
- Works with classroom teachers of target children to assess, design, and deliver intervention strategies for target children.
- Monitors target students once released from the program.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the administrator or supervisor.
