Image Flooring is a commercial flooring contractor dedicated to providing customers with the highest quality service and installation of all types of commercial floor-covering. That includes design, service, installation and maintenance of carpet, resilient tile, heat-welded sheet vinyl, bamboo, cork, rubber flooring, ceramic tile and pre-finished wood.
JOB SUMMARY:
Prospect, strategize and qualify new business opportunities through relationship building, cold & warm calling, networking and leveraging referrals; Develop a deep knowledge of market trends, product and service offerings and apply that knowledge to the sales process.
Ideally, this candidate would have a background in the Architecture & Design Industry, with prior sales experience. Specific flooring knowledge is not required, but Interior Design education or construction experience is a plus. Compensation for this position is salary plus commission. Must self-motivated and be able to work as a part of a team.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
Develop and meet sales goals while finding new accounts through the company's relationship based strategic sales philosophy that provides clients with the best long-term solutions and outstanding service. Participate in networking, marketing, training and growth opportunities as they become available.
Meet with Clients:
- Develop and maintain client list with regular contact utilizing our CRM software
- Manage client relationships
- Evaluate the Client's needs & expectations
- Use of space
- Budget
- Timeline
- Present appropriate flooring solutions
- Measure spaces by hand, if necessary
Proposals:
- Create accurate proposals
- Submit Proposal to Client/Prospective Bidders
- Follow-up
Work hand-in-hand with Project Management Team:
- Pre-installation meetings/walk-thru's
- Job-site visits for larger or phased jobs
- Weekly internal job meetings
- Communicate with Installation Manager & Project Manager on project from start to finish on project
Close Job:
- Evaluate Job GP with PM
Forecasting:
- Forecast upcoming work to reach annual sales goal
- Strategize with Sales, PM's and Vice President
Vendor Relationships:
- Understand and support key vendor relationships
Marketing & Integration:
- Entertain clients through lunch, happy hour, dinner, mill trip opportunities, etc.
- Support & attend marketing efforts
- Have a general understanding of integrated companies and promote when applicable
- Be willing to join industry organizations.
Education:
- Build a broad understanding of the technical aspects of flooring materials and installation methods
- Utilize Starnet resources for technical information & network installers
