Duties/Responsibilities
Environmental Services Responsibilities:
- Clean all areas of the hospital
- Perform routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, offices, and stairways in a clean and sanitary manner
- Assist with function set up, break downs, and clean up
- Clean and maintain all carpeted and hard surfaces in the facility
- Ensure that soiled linens are processed in a manner which will avoid the transfer of microorganisms
- Transport soiled linen to the laundry department
- Sort all soiled linen appropriately
- Wash all soiled linen as needed
- Fold clean linen as needed
- Store and deliver clean linen to all departments
- Ensure laundering of designated staff, physician, and auxiliary uniforms
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 3 months of related experience preferred
