Duties & Responsibilities
- Ability to lead team with multiple tasks/ skill sets
- Responsible for day to day technical oversight of the operating team
- Support and facilitate the interface between operations and maintenance
- Responsible for the reliability and functional competence of plant operations, including production quotas and general support of plant performance objectives
- Provide site leadership of operations staff, be an active member of the plant emergency response team
- Ensure safe, efficient and sustainable operation of the asset
- Assist in delivering the operations component of the asset business plan
- Meet established HSE roles and responsibilities for supervisors and persons in charge
- Provide day to day direction and oversight to plant operational activities
- Assist in the development, tracking and delivery of plant operational efficiency targets and budget
- Process Troubleshooting
- Coordinate operational requirements associated with maintenance, engineering, and HSE projects
- Serve as a member of Plant Leadership team, ensure competency of operations staff
- Training to appropriate standards (CBT, safety meeting, etc.)
- Ensure individual training completed in accordance with site training matrix
- Ensure competency of operations staff
- Assure operational input to asset risk identification and management programs
- Ensure operational compliance with all relevant/required management programs including PSM, EHS, Mechanical Integrity, etc.
- Day to day liaison with internal and external customers
- Ensure hazards are systematically identified and risks assessed and managed
- Ensure facilities and processes are operated within safe limits
- Develop and maintain SOPs for improving the safety and integrity of the operation
- Adhere to Management of Change process
- Ensure protective systems and devices are in place to prevent, detect, control or mitigate incidents
- Prepared to carry out emergency response actions, investigate incident cause
- Possess adequate understanding of site economic drivers
- Proficient in all operational areas and conditions within the plant to ensure facility efficiency, availability, and regulatory compliance
- Perform other various tasks as assigned by the Superintendent

- Must be able to communicate regularly with Regulatory, Accounting and Engineering
- Able to work effectively with maintenance / Engineering / EH&S / PSM groups to complete required task without impacting overall EH&S / business goals of the facility
- Perform administrative functions relating to operations, i.e. scheduling, exceptions, etc.
- Has basic computer skills; data entry into various electronic databases
- Ability to work safely and adhere to all company guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Has integrity, good communication skills, and a positive attitude
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and managerial skills
- Maintain good housekeeping in all areas of responsibility

- Must be experienced in staff training, supervision, motivation and retention
Education & Qualifications
- 8 years’ experience in gas processing facilities
- Must be a certified operator or be able to obtain certification within 1 year
- Possess a valid driver’s license, CDL a plus (may be required in some locations)
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug and background check
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited, state-certified program
- Certifications from trade schools and/or professional organizations are preferred
- Must be capable and willing to work as required and participate in an on-call rotation
- Knowledgeable in operating and maintaining equipment within oil and gas facilities preferred
- Capable of lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 50lbs
- Capable of rigorous outdoor activities with physical ability to work extended hours, climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, working with arms extended above the head, twisting upper body, standing for long periods, working in confined spaces, exposure to extreme weather conditions, driving a vehicle, operation of forklifts and light industrial equipment
