We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Quality Engineering Sr. Manager to lead quality initiatives for Powertrain (PT), Chassis, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and Connectivity systems.
The role ensures product quality across the entire lifecycle, from design and development to production and post-launch performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to meet and exceed quality standards while driving continuous improvement.
This role is critical to ensuring customer satisfaction and enhancing the organization's reputation for delivering high-quality vehicles.
- Quality Management:
- Define and implement quality standards and strategies for PT, Chassis, ADAS, and Connectivity products.
- Develop and maintain quality metrics, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer expectations.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a team of quality engineers.
- Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Product Development Support:
- Collaborate with R&D, design, and manufacturing teams to integrate quality considerations early in the development process.
- Review and approve product designs and specifications to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Supplier Quality:
- Work with Supplier Quality to resolve issues.
- Compliance & Standards:
- Ensure products comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Keep up to date with advancements in PT, Chassis, ADAS, and Connectivity technologies to inform quality practices.
- Data-Driven Improvement:
- Use data analysis to identify trends, forecast issues, and drive decision-making.
- Implement and sustain quality improvement initiatives like Six Sigma, Lean, or Total Quality Management.
- Customer Focus:
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns.
- Ensure prompt resolution of customer issues and effective communication regarding quality improvements.
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina.
- The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company 20-40% of the time.
- Travel: Potential international travel, and a passport is required.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in quality management within automotive or related industries.
- Proven track record in PT, Chassis, ADAS, or Connectivity systems.

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $130,000 - $150,000
Internal leveling code: M8
