What you'll do

The Complete Vehicle "Customer" Audit Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing the audit processes of finished vehicles from a customer perspective to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer expectations. This role involves coordinating audit activities, identifying quality concerns, driving corrective actions with internal stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.

  • Audit Management
    • Plan, coordinate, and supervise the complete vehicle audit processes, ensuring all audits align with customer standards and company quality objectives.
    • Develop and maintain audit schedules to evaluate vehicles systematically.
    • Ensure audits simulate customer experiences to identify potential issues before delivery.
  • Quality Control
    • Monitor and analyze audit results to identify patterns, trends, and potential quality issues.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, engineering, and design) to address and resolve non-conformances.
    • Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively to mitigate quality concerns.
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise and mentor a team of quality auditors, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, true ownership, continuous improvement, and customer focus within the team.
  • Customer Focus
    • Ensure all audits align with customer specifications and feedback.
    • Communicate quality concerns and improvement actions to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with customer expectations.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate records of audit findings, corrective actions, and resolutions.
    • Prepare and present audit reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for quality improvements.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Lead initiatives to enhance audit processes, tools, and methodologies.
    • Benchmark industry best practices and implement innovations to improve product quality and efficiency.
  • Compliance
    • Ensure all audit processes comply with applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina.
  • The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly.
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in quality assurance or audit processes within the automotive industry.
  • Experience in supervising teams and managing cross-functional project
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in quality management systems, tools, and techniques (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO standards, FMEA, APQP).
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Familiarity with automotive manufacturing processes, customer-specific requirements, and vehicle inspection tools/equipment.
  • Quality-related certifications (e.g., CQE, CQA, or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt) are a plus.
  • Data-Driven Mindset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with great flexibility.
  • May require extended hours during critical phases for issue resolution.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, a high level of assertiveness as well as entrepreneurial thinking and goal- and result-oriented decision-making
  • Working Conditions
    • Primarily based in a manufacturing or audit facility.
    • Requires standing and walking for extended periods during audits.

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range = $100,000 - $120,000

Internal leveling code: M9
