Position Summary
The Camp Sales and Reservations Specialist for the Orange County Council, Scouting America is responsible for providing administrative and sales support to ensure daily operations of the sales department.
Pay starting at $17 an hour. This is an onsite position Monday through Friday.
General Responsibilities:
- Greet and help guests and volunteers, via telephone, email or in person.
- Answer phones, check voicemail, route calls and messages to the appropriate staff member.
- Schedule site tours
- Update customer accounts event attachments and contact information.
- Follow up on leads as assigned.
- Pre-event calls to finalize event details and arrival information.
- Support events and registrations in our systems Black Pug, Infor SCS and Camp Doc.
- Troubleshoot registration issues and make recommendations.
- Registration follow up.
- Send and collect forms and waivers if necessary.
- Answer all email correspondence and/or forward to specific department.
- Work as a liaison between departments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Qualifications:
- Experienced administrative professional who is dependable and highly organized with maturity, discretion, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
- Two years' experience in an office setting with a high call volume.
- Knowledge of Scouting preferred.
- Technology literate with strong computer skills including intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Experience with databases or online registration systems is a plus.
- Good organizational skills and record keeping (attention to detail is critical).
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Self-starter who can work independently.
- Skill in establishing priorities and managing workload.
- Must pass Scouting America's background check.
