We are seeking a Pharmacist In Charge to join our team. As the PIC, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of pharmacy operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical services. This is a senior leadership role that requires strategic planning, business development, and strong operational management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize pharmacy operations and enhance patient care
- Manage and supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement medication therapy management programs
- Oversee the procurement, storage, and distribution of medications and pharmaceutical supplies
- Monitor medication usage patterns and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and patient safety
- Provide guidance and support to staff in resolving complex medication-related issues
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of pharmacy services
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution
- Current pharmacist license in the state of Wisconsin; or obtain within the first 120 days of employment
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, including inventory management, and regulatory compliance
- Proven track record in strategic planning, process improvement, and project management
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to harness pharmacy claims data to make informed decisions
