What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Clubhouse Assistant position at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders?
The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, Triple-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees are seeking a part-time, seasonal home clubhouse assistant for the upcoming 2025 baseball season.
The Clubhouse Assistant will assist the Clubhouse Manager in game day tasks and assist in the loading and unloading of buses as needed. The Clubhouse Assistant will aid in the cleaning and maintaining of the Home Clubhouse, assisting and providing for players, coaches, and staff, as well as on-field tasks. This will include maintaining the locker room area, kitchen, coaches and manager's offices. The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, trustworthy, organized and has a familiarity with clubhouse/locker rooms and the odd and long hours that accompany the position.

Clubhouse Assistant Duties Include:
· Setting up and breaking down of Batting Practice equipment.
· Maintaining a clean and professional Clubhouse. This includes vacuuming, organizing, and cleaning all aspects and rooms of the Clubhouse.
· Assist in distribution and maintaining of equipment, apparel, and uniforms.
· Assist bat boys as needed with the set up and break down of the bench and bullpen, pre and post-game, as well as cleaning of spikes and turfs as necessary.
· Assist in Pregame, midgame, and post-game tasks. These will include, set up and breakdown of pre-game and post-game spread, maintaining and restocking of kitchen area and bathrooms, hanging of player's laundry loops, uniforms, and folding towels.
· Assist in loading and unloading of buses/equipment truck. This will include loading and unloading all equipment, as well as the packing and unpacking of player's bags respectively. Depending on where and when the team is coming from, times of buses can be late.

Qualifications:
· Must be able to work long hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, as well as non-game days (primarily the days of buses/equipment truck). Please only apply if you are able to commit to the majority of the schedule and the long hours. Please keep this in mind if you belong to a sports team or have any other commitments that will interfere with game days and busses.
· Must have reliable transportation
· Bachelor's degree (or pursuing) in Sports Management or related field preferred, but not required.
· Previous experience working in a clubhouse/locker room is preferred, but the right candidate could be trained.
· Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs and work on foot for long periods of time.
· Goal oriented, organized, and dependable individual.
· Must be able to interact with players and coaches in a professional manner.
