SAFETY REPRESENTATIVE:
Roles and Responsibilities Overview
The SEUS Safety Representatives primary responsibility is onsite oversight of the work environment and safety compliance by SCREEN employees and representatives (i.e. 3rd party resources) ensuring a safe environment for all employees and customers.
Duties Include:
- Onsite / Fab presence to ensure compliance and identification of potential risks.
- Proactively identifying and addressing any potential or actual safety risk in the work / office environment.
- Incident investigation and follow up including reporting, countermeasure development and closure, etc.
- Support of the SEUS Safety Manager in reporting requirements including but not limited to OSHA, Customers, etc.
- Primary work location is N. Phoenix Office / Customer. Regular support of S. Phoenix locations required as well as occasional travel to other US customer locations as needed.

Responsibilities: Dedicated Safety Position
- Outline and implement accident prevention on daily basis at dedicated customer site.
- Routine safety in fab presence, targeting a minimum of three times a day / ~6 hours per day.
- Participate in morning toolbox safety meetings with Install / service support groups.
- Review PreTask Plans, JHA or TBM for Tasks / Hazards / Mitigations. Identify shortcomings- example: LOTO- POU, Isolation, confirmation.
- Educates employees on safety policies and procedures.
- Track and document accidents with follow-up reporting- Initial Safety Incident report, 7 / 30 / 60-day reporting and safety slide. Investigate the root cause and create countermeasures to prevent recurrence.
- Support Safety Committee meetings, Monthly, Quarterly Safety Meetings and part of Traincaster Safety CIP team.
- Performs safety inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes.
- Recommends changes, corrections to assure compliance with established regulations.
- Ensure that safety standards are upheld and that potential hazards are addressed promptly.
- Participate in employee safety training.
- Interface with customer safety representatives as needed or required. Attend Customer safety meetings.
- Serve as the key intermediary in the flow of safety information between the employees and management.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of existing safety policies, providing feedback and actionable suggestions to management.
- Ensure that all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines and company/customer procedures are explicitly followed.
- Play a pivotal role in fostering an environment where safety is both policy and a shared company value.
- Coach, not dictate when discussing safety concerns with employees, contractors, other vendors & customers to create positive safety culture.
- Back-up duties of National Safety Manager.
- Incident reporting (including Japan IRS reporting)
- OSHA tracking / reporting (OSHA 300A forms, OSHA logs, etc.,)
- 3rd party data tracking / reporting (Highwire, ISNet, Avetta, etc.,)
- Conduct Safety Training (example: New employee Safety Awareness training)
- Conduct Safety Meetings (chair Monthly Safety Committee meetings, Monthly Safety meetings, company-wide Quarterly Safety meetings).
- Overseeing Safety Recognition program
- Forecasting company-wide safety improvements
Qualifications:
- Must have a broad knowledge of government (OSHA) and applicable industry safety regulations and laws.
- Have a strong customer focus and commitment to customer satisfaction and safety requirements.
- Experience with chemical handling and protective equipment/safety procedures.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office programs. Experience with TrainCaster (LMS platform) a plus.
- 3-5 years’ technical experience in the semiconductor industry or related technical field.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment:
- Position may require travel to other SCREEN office locations and customer sites. The ability to be badged by customers is a must.
- Work in clean room environment.
- Routinely required to sit, walk, walk up & down flights of stairs, use hands, kneel, stretch, twist, and reach.
- Travel to other SCREEN sites (locally, nationally and worldwide)
Educational Requirements:
- Associate degree or equivalent education/work experience to equal a degree.
- Must have or obtain OSHA 30-hour Certification.
