KNXV, the E.W. Scripps ABC station in Phoenix, Arizona is looking for a Weekend Anchor / Multimedia Journalist. We want a reporter first – someone who brings high-energy storytelling both to the anchor desk and the field. You’ll anchor weekend mornings and report three days during the week, requiring versatility and drive.
WHAT YOU WILL DO :
- Generate compelling story ideas tailored for multiple platforms.
- Report live on location from various news events.
- Organize material, and write stories according to prescribed editorial story style, and formats for each of our platforms- including digital.
- Research stories through personal contacts, the internet and other sources deciding the best angle and approach for the story.
- Collaborate effectively with News, Promotion, Production and Engineering on daily broadcast, special projects and online coverage.
- Make community appearances and participate in station-led initiatives.
- Build a network of informational sources to provide exclusive stories for the Scripps brand.
- Meet all production deadlines.
