PRIMARY PURPOSE / GENERAL DESCRIPTION :
Provide TA and Tutor support for Summer Biology faculty of the Department of Natural Science, through the Post-Bac Premed Program.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

- Under the direction of the Biology lab instructor, set up and clean up lab for Biology 43
- Mixes & prepares lab experiments
- Tutor approximately 24 summer students in the scientific and mathematical concepts necessary for Biology 43.
- The position reports to the lecture instructor, for the Biology 43 courses.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS :
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :
Some college coursework or recent college graduate preferredor any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Previous TA and Tutor experience is preferred.

HOURS & CLASSIFICATION AND STATUS :
This is a temporary status, no more than hours per week, non-benefits eligible, non-exempt position.
This temporary assignment is expected to begin on July 21, 2025, and end on or before August 15, 2025.
Hours may vary due to the needs of the department or College.
Hourly rate : $16.50. The hourly rate of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, andtraining.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY :
None.
